Course for Young Cultural Practitioners

Course for Young Cultural Practitioners is an educational program for early-career cultural managers held from September to November 2024 at the Dnipro Center for Contemporary Culture.

The course was designed for those envisioning themselves as cultural managers, employees of cultural institutions, or organizers of cultural and artistic events in Dnipro. The program combined theoretical lectures with practical sessions.

Ukrainian experts shared insights on assembling a team, planning a project, securing funding, writing successful grant proposals, building audience communication, and collaborating with urban communities. By the end of the program, participants had the opportunity to work on implementing their own ideas.

The course lecturers included:

Alyona Karavai, cultural manager, curator, and co-founder of Insha Osvita;
Mykhailo Hluboсkyi, Director of Development and Communications at IZOLYATSIA Foundation;
Ilona Demchenko, grants manager for international cooperation and cultural infrastructure at the House of Europe project;
Olena Kasperovych, art manager and curator of international artistic residency programs at YermilovCentre;
Andrii Palash, Director of the Dnipro Center for Contemporary Culture and Head of Kultura Medialna NGO;
Veronika Sklyarova, cultural manager, theater producer, and curator;
Anna Haidai, co-founder of the Cultural Photographic Center PhotoCULT.

The program was curated by Olena Kasperovych.

Participants were selected through an open call.
